CAMP INFORMATION
JUNE 12-16, 2023
DAILY SCHEDULE 9AM-2:30PM
ENGLEWOOD & WESTMINSTER
High Five is a large adventure camp that is centered completely around Jesus Christ for children age 5 to those entering grade 6 in the Fall of 2023. Unlike traditional VBS camps, campers choose activities they love and are taught how to do those things all while glorifying Jesus. We are preparing for our biggest camp in BRAVE history and we cannot do it without our incredible volunteers. Camp runs from 9-2:30pm daily with drop-off from 8:30-9:00am and pick-up from 2:30-3:00pm
VOLUNTEER REGISTRATIONS
We have two separate registrations this year for adults and students (7th-12th grade) who are volunteering during the week. Please make sure to register for the correct campus and age range to ensure a smooth process and check-in. The Englewood Campus has reached it's capacity to accept 7th & 8th grade volunteers. Please check again next year for that opportunity!
There are so many ways to serve! You can serve within an elective helping kids discover creative ways to serve God with adventure, dancing, crafts, cooking, military and sooo much more. You can also serve by doing behind the scenes roles like food, admin, clean up, runner, etc. List everything you are interested in and we'll find a great fit for you!
Can I volunteer if I have never been to High Five?Yes! We will give you all of the tools you need to serve well
Is there a camper discount if I volunteer?Yes! Volunteers who sign up for the entire week of camp before March 30, will get 50% off camper tuition for their children or grandchildren
Will food be provided?Yes! We want to keep our volunteers fueled and happy, we serve a light breakfast each morning and provide lunch and snacks for all day volunteers
I work during the week, can I still help? Many of our volunteers request the week off of work to help with High Five. This is one of BRAVE's biggest evangelism and outreach events of the year. While we understand that might be a big request, we hope you'll prayerfully consider if taking a day or two or the whole week off will work for you. The hours of camp are from 8:30-2:30 each day. If that doesn't align with your schedule please consider helping us with set up and tear down!
I do not go to BRAVE, can I still volunteer?Yes! Please note on your application how you found out about our camp.
What will volunteers do during camp?High Five requires people with all different giftings to fill many roles. Everything from administration, daily cleaning, cooking meals, prayer team, photography, acting, leading electives and supporting elective leaders. In the volunteer application there is a section where you can request to work directly with the children or do more of a behind the scenes role.
What is an elective?Campers choose two electives to participate in during camp. One every morning and a different one after lunch. We offer all kinds of options! Sports, Cooking, Science, Outdoor Skills, Crafting, Animals, Acting, just to name a few!! If you have special skills and would like to help us design and lead an elective please note that on your volunteer application.
I have kids who cannot go to camp based on their ages, how does that work with volunteering? If you have children under the age of 5 (or not yet going into Kinder) we offer childcare at no cost! If you have kids older than 6th grade they can volunteer as a student volunteer and help too!!
When does camper registration open?Camper registration will open in April 2023 for this summer.
Will there be Middle School Mania this year?We will not be offering Middle School Mania for middle school volunteers in Englewood. If you are going into 7th grade in the Fall you, can volunteer with us up to a full day in your elective! Westminster will be having Middle School Mania.
